Our Team

Collective statement

As a group of partnering Educational Psychologists, we collaborate together, provide professional support and supervision to ensure each school receives the best possible service delivery. We are each driven by the values of going above and beyond to do what we can give all children and young people the best possible start. After all, the impact that we have today could change the path of that child’s life forever.

Working as a collective team gives schools the reliability and advantages of working directly with a named psychologist (without intermediaries), while also providing ourselves with all the benefits of having a highly skilled team around us.

Being a psychologist is a vocation, and having the opportunity to support children is an incredible privilege. I feel that having this level of appreciation for what I do helps to maintain the determination that each day we’re going to make a positive difference for children.

Richard has worked as an Educational Psychologist across several of the Greater Manchester Local Authorities over the past 10 years.

Richard regularly works across a wide range of age ranges within nursery, primary, secondary, and specialist settings. While Richard developed an initial specialism within cognition and learning (especially neuropsychology), this has since branched into a more holistic interest approach; recognising that “to really understand one area of need, you have to know the whole child”.

Richard’s interests now span across all areas, from anxiety and autism, to attachment and resiliency. He constantly endeavours to improve his practice to enable children to reach their potential.

I have been fortunate enough to make a career out of my passion for supporting the growth and development of children and young people. I see it as a duty and privilege to use my knowledge of psychology and education to remove the barriers many pupils face in achieving their potential.

Lee has worked as an Educational Psychologist across Liverpool and Merseyside since 2013.

Following a previous career in secondary school teaching and mentoring, Lee has developed his initial interests in the impact of social deprivation on emotional and educational outcomes for children, into a far-reaching interest in all aspects of child and educational psychology across the age ranges.

Lee has worked on projects ranging from developing and implementing nurture provisions for Early Years children with social emotional difficulties to developing autism training for secondary school staff. Lee is passionate about breaking down the barriers that can prevent children and young people from using education as a springboard to self-actualisation.

I value having the opportunity to build strong relationships with schools and getting to understand their individual needs. Listening to and gaining the views of the child, parents/carers, and other professionals helps me work as holistically as possible, and always with a child-centred approach.

Jen has over 20 years’ experience of working with children, young people, their families and schools. Since qualifying as a Chartered Educational Psychologist in 2012, Jen has worked in both Local Authority services and independent practice. Jen works closely with a range of educational settings to jointly identify next steps on how to help move things forward for children, young people and their families, and utilises a range of psychological assessment, intervention and consultation approaches in her work.

Jen is currently extending her specialist knowledge in Autism and girls, Emotional Based School Avoidance, Positive Psychology, and the impact that anxiety has on children’s learning.
